IHOP isn't really changing it's name to IHOb, but here's what the "b" stands for

They really missed the mark. International House of Bacon is a much better marketing stunt and then you don’t have to actually make burgers no one wants.

But hasn’t IHOP always had burgers? I could see pulling the stunt if this was a whole new, exciting menu item they were introducing, but from what I can see, it’s just some different hamburgers that they’re adding to the ones they’ve already got.

Looks like they paid for the logo redesign but not for the package.

Or. Not.

That really contextualizes the red line below it in the logo in a very different way, I must say.

Wendy has killer social media skills.

I can see it now:

An amazing looking burger with a grilled unnaturally light weight bun. It will be like eating toasted air.

Inside will be a burger grilled to perfection made of meat chunks held together with meat glue.
All coupled with culturally relevant fixings and flavorings as defined by the menu text rewritten by people in marketing.

And then…corn syrup mixed with (high fructose included) with some flavoring poured over the entire burger,

Then it is topped with whipped cream from a can and cherry is placed on top.

Sprinkles on the “kids” version.

It will be like Paula Deen’s Doughnut Burger for a special occasion,
but that occasion can be every day, any time, 24hrs a day!

You can’t see it, but I’m wearing my surprised face. It looks a bit like this:

But paler. With a burger next to it.

I can’t tell if that’s a trademark or a service mark after:

but either way, if repetition is all it takes I hereby lay claim to:

Dangerously close to infringing the IP of a well-known bar franchise there, friend.

Ah, but close is the name of the game.

Given the political environment I am inclined to think that we are in the universe of Look Around You!

Did anybody else notice they flipped the “I” and “O” upside down and the “H” is flipped along the vertical axes?

What does it all mean? Can I still get fries and a glass of ice water at 2AM?
What is water? What are birds? We just don’t know.

I miss the days of their mascot, Ihop— a kangaroo, naturally.
