Old coworker of mine worked as a Republican staffer when he was younger in DC and his stance on it was that literally everyone in DC hates Ted Cruz. This was a decade or more ago, so who knows how it is now, but he was a walking punchline.

Somehow I doubt that Cruz having his lips surgically attached to the ass of the man who ruthlessly ridiculed him, called his wife ugly and accused his father of killing JFK won him any more respect in the years since then.

To be clear, I believe that A, B, and C are necessary, but B can be satisfied by i, ii, or iii. That is why they are broken out that way. And yeah, B (ii) seems like a slam dunk.
