From another story.
She made news in November 2021 by taking a phone call with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Restaurant Business, a trade publication, reported that DeSantis invited In-N-Out to do business in his state and that the invitation was declined.

I would have argued that ordering cheese fries alone, sans sauce, would have been the best way to preserve them. A nice blanket of sliced cheese goodness provides some level of insulation.
But I’d also like to agree with a number of people here that the fries are the worst part of the experience (elevating Five Guys over them on side order alone) and the burgers are completely adequate. Good and edible, but adequate nonetheles. Hardly worth the wait when there are other options more readily available.

To me Five Guys has the best fries hands down, even when they get cold they taste great. I do like a good crispy fry but Five Guys has the type that is very soft (mashed potato kind of texture on the inside) so they have a great mouth feel when hot or cold, plus the cajun seasoning is tasty.

I’ve only been to an In-N-Out once, in San Diego about 10 years ago. My hot take? The food was just fine, though not outstanding. But I loved it because there were so few menu options. I’m serious.
