Thatâs the take away from the classic Animaniacâs song.
I caught that, but then just listen a bit and it morphs into âIs he dead?â
My brain is awesome at making patterns out of white noise. Washing machines, vacuums fans, etc - If there is a hint of a pattern I can hear them âtalkâ to me. I used to swear I could hear music some times laying in bed. Especially with my left ear muffled. But then I realized the song was an Aerosmith song I didnât know all the words to and it kept looping the parts I did know.
And then there is a phenomenon, and I forget what it is called, where you can hear gibberish, but then if someone tells you what it is supposed to day, replaying that gibberish makes you hear that phrase. You canât unhear it and hear gibberish again.
Ainât you edgy
Meanwhile, weâre all fucked
Reminds me of the day Kilroy lost his mind.
The Yakkoâs Universe song I posted above.
At the end after making you feel small:
Though we donât know how it got here
Weâre an important part here
Itâs a big universe and itâs ours!
Although I later found out they had originally put more nihilist lyrics.
You might think that youâre essential
Try inconsequential
Itâs a small world after all!
Why???
Yeah, I get that now; but when I originally replied, your vid wasnât showing up for me.
Weird.
Depends how fast you replied, I first posted and forgot the paste the link. Or sometimes youtube videos donât seem to show up until you refresh.
If Iâm actually sitting at my work station at looking directly at the active window, I tend to reply pretty quickly.
If I get a project to work on it may take me a while to respond.
*lolz
Yep, he left a few out; not to mention that nationsâ names can change over time.
Thatâs apophenia/pareidolia. Sometimes it really is someone playing music in a distant room though; you can test it by trying to control it â try to hear a particular earworm and if it is pareidolia youâll hear that. I get it all the time from sleep deprivation or when I used to come off of multi-day benders.
ETA: And that Yakko number is obviously an homage to / ripoff of
Idle updated it recently.
Fun fact they fudged some numbers that were current at the time to match the meter and rhyme and they turned out to be more accurate.
Comedy competes with horror.
Itâs one thing to be able to recite the countries of the world (which the voice actor of Yakko can still do on request) but I remember being more impressed as a child that he was able to point to them all with his stick as he did it.
I would very much like to understand your response, but Iâm afraid Iâve no idea what it connects to
Sorry about that, it doesnât actually make sense that I replied to your comment with this information. It was about the awesome geography skills in this clip;
Wow
Very wow!
