There’s actually a simple reason why he blamed Zoe Quinn. The comparatively unknown doxxer broadcast their dox on Twitter, and Zoe Quinn retweeted it, broadcasting it to her 10s of thousands of followers. He saw it on her Twitter feed, and apparently failed to notice (or didn’t care) that it was a retweet.

It wasn’t like he just picked Zoe out of a hat, or because he just hates Zoe Quinn – it was because she repeated the doxxing to tens of thousands of people. Most people who saw it saw it on Zoe’s feed.

The one I think is funny is the article declaring that Fredrick Brennan (aka Hotwheels) was openly doxxing people. You know what he did? When anti-GG people were sending complaints to Cloudlfare trying to get 8chan taken down and having 8chan DDOSed (this BTW is why so very many of /baphomet/s recent targets have been anti-GG folks – they aren’t being attacked for being anti-GG, they’re being attacked for being involved in the attacks on 8chan, being related to people involved in the attacks on 8chan, cheering on the attacks on 8chan, or being believed to be any of those [/bpahomet/ is far less than perfect at investigation]), he posted the complaints as they arrived.

You know, kind of like Anita posting nasty messages people send her with the name, email address and IP showing except these had the name and email address entered on the complaint form. Somehow Anita isn’t doxxing when she does it, which makes me wonder why it’s different when Hotwheels does?

Likewise, you never see the talk of the anti-GG folks harassing rather a lot of people, including just the other day driving a woman off all social media by threatening her children (lizzyf620). Her crime? Being pro-GG. Which is of course why media doesn’t talk about it – it’s not useful to the desired media narrative to point out that the anti-GG folks are just as awful. My personal favorite is srhbutts posting those screenshots from imageboards showing how GG is harassing people etc, because none of them are from the GamerGate board – the closest she came is getting a carefully cropped SS of one transphobic idiot that a bunch of people told off from /r/KotakuInAction (but the replies to him weren’t in the shot, so they don’t count.

Are you referring to Zoe retweeting the Cernovich doxxing (which linked to that article trying to raise a mob to send false police tips against him) or the bit about how this article refers to Hotwheels posting Cloudfare complaints directed at him doxxing because they included name and email address, but not Anita posting name, IP, and email address of people sending her mean emails?

  1. 8chan was DDoSed, but even Brennan admitted that he has no idea who did it, and that the accusations thrown at anti-GG folks were unfounded. Check his Twitter.

  2. Lizzyf was openly doxxed by Baphomet; “SJWs” had nothing to do with it. Zoe Quinn invited her to contact Crash Override for support.

  3. There’s so much misinformation accepted as gospel in Gater mythology there’s no point in rooting it out. Whether you’re intentionally lying or a dupe, I’m bored now. Go eat a branch.

…and /baphomet/ aren’t exactly the best investigators, but like old school /b/ and /i/, they are unlikely to stop. To be fair, Dan Olsen did actually publicly take credit for bringing down 8chan during the DDOS, and a lot of people cheered him on over it.

Yes, her dox got posted on /baphomet/. To quote the very same wiki you are using as a source, in fact the very page that links that image: “/baphomet/ immediately rejects the poster for attempting to use them as a “personal army”, with the poster suspected of being a third-party trolley due to the IP having only made 4 posts on the board, all within the thread. The thread is promptly deleted and the user who posted the dox is banned. Several groups, including @TheFartRises and /baphomet/ itself, work to find who is responsible for posting the dox.”

The emails in question (the ones she was tweeting with name, email, and source IP address) were just “mean emails” – they didn’t threaten to kill or rape her, they didn’t mention where she lived or anything, they mostly just called her a liar and a handful of misogynistic insults. They also tended to mention thunderf00t, as this did happen shortly after she had him suspended from Twitter for tweeting a video calling out some things in her previous video. I was not in any way saying that you could summarize everything directed at her as “mean emails”, but in the case of specifically what we’re talking about it’s accurate.
