I think when he kicks the bucket it’s going to be something akin to the death of Stalin. A bunch of ass-kissers and authoritarians trying to hide the fact that they’re secretly relieved by his passing while racing to stab each other in the back to take the throne for themselves.

Sure, but if he’s effectively helped destroy democracy, that doesn’t mean another won’t come and fill in the vacuum he leaves… Rebuilding after a dictatorship is difficult and sometimes, it takes a long time to come back from that, if it’s not imposed from without.
