explain it like i’m old
… what does “cringe” mean exactly
i may be doing it wrong
Are we meant to explain stuff? Or ask about stuff? Both? Are we doing both?
First one, then the other.
Is that right?
I think that cringe is just supposed to be something that is embarrassing. Even to the person witnessing it.
Fascism is never cringe. It’s terrifying. Calling it cringe seems like downplaying it
For example, when it turns out that my definition is completely wrong, or that I have humiliated myself by misinterpreting your original question, that is cringe
Well, I am totally confused. Is the Tallahassee Democrat an example of the kids?
… no i think that was @beschizza
At best, I think they’re cheugy for trying to use the term cringe
@beschizza is the kids?
As, so he was translating…
… see what i mean
My take on when @beschizza used cringe was that in the field of journalism, you can’t be taken as a Serious Journalist if you call someone a fascist, it’s amateur hour stuff. It’s cringy behavior, embarassing.
Trying so hard to be cool or fashionable that you actually end up being the opposite.
Example: by throwing out the term cheugy as if he used it all the time, @anon52120741 exposed just how cheugy he was
Oh! In that case you totally pulled it off.
I try to be a role model
You literally won’t believe what the NYT called Mussolini
Oh, then everything’s copacetic
Solid, Jackson!
