It's Friday, so enjoy these disturbing 1960s cereal commercials

This is where I live.
I remember these.
Yeah, I’m an old.

Sigh…

Star Trek slash fiction, or Lucky Charms slash fiction? Asking for a friend.

I love the minimalist UPA style animation in these.

Growing up in the 60s was very different for today. For one, television was black and white, and it took the TV set a few minutes to to start showing anything but a little white dot in the middle of the screen (this is very often overlooked). For another, kids grew up being taught bizarrely depraved stories like mother goose tales, Grimm’s fairy tales and Hans Christian Andersen.

There is probably no way to verify this, but one of the dancing Lucky Charms kids sounds like Peter Robbins, the original voice of Charlie Brown.

i’ve never had a problem with that, but i know it’s a common complaint. i recommend Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch then, which are nice, round, friendly spheres.

My brother always used to complain that I was a loud cereal eater. I think what I used to do is I would try to sort of suck the milk out of the kibbles (or whatever they are) and doing that is what would cause them to act like a rasp on the roof of my mouth.

It’s all way, way too sugary for me now. Now, I’m strictly a raisin bran man.
