I’m still trying to decide if I should be feeling sorry for the intern or paralegal who is going to lose their job over this. I mean, they work for the guy who is defending Alex Jones.
These mistakes are common. The receiving party did what they were obligated to do and notified the sender that what they received may be privileged. Not that a scapegoat would be hard to find, but failure to respond to the notice falls on the attorneys.
Here’s a nice Twitter thread on Jones’ hilarious testimony today.
If he’s taken down, it’s virtually guaranteed to be a lying jackal conman as that’s all he surrounds himself with.
@Lot_49 love Liz at Wonkette, but am not on Twitter. Thanks for bringing her Tweet snark here.
She and Ken Pope have me considering a Twitter account.
It is ridiculous how delighted I am about this
I want to buy them a beer. I doubt I’m alone in my feelings. This individual will be treated like a hero.
Did this guy take over his law firm from the late Lionel Hutz?
There’s a hint of Wallace and Gromit there. I just can’t put my finger on it…
That dog would piss on Alex all day long.
Not sure it was so accidental as it was a CYA.
she wrote an article summarizing things too
this bit. omg:
“You believe everything you say is true. But it isn’t. Your beliefs do not make something true,” Judge Gamble cut him off, adding “Your belief that something is true does not make it true. It does not protect you. It is not allowed. You are under oath. That means things must actually be true when you say them.”
Hmmmm; an added layer here; child porn may be an issue. milliefink has pointed out that this may be old information or “information”, so it may not be reliable if it’s “information”.
Maaaay be, but we’ll see. The link article there is from 2019.
Interesting … I guess we’ll see how it all plays out.
I am schadenfreuding so hard right now.
Maliciously.
