So, the judge will soon release a statement about how sorry she is and how this “isn’t who she is” … etc. She’ll be one of Oklahoma’s US Senators in a couple of years as she rides the wave of victimhood.

I’ll never understand how law enforcement (Sheriffs) and the judiciary (District Attorneys, Judges) can do their jobs properly when everything they do is ultimately to keep them in their jobs by winning periodic popularity contests.

It’s a good part of the reason why it’s so hard to get any substantive criminal justice reform implemented. “Tough on Crime” plays well on election day, and bail reform, defund the police, and sentencing reform don’t because the “Tough on Crime” candidate just brands that as being “Soft on Crime”.
