Or give them credentials and let them listen but simply don’t call on them. Not everyone in the press room gets to ask a question; just let one of the smaller organizations ask a hopefully more meaningful question than whatever nonsense Doocy pulls out of somewhere.

Yes, Biden may have been “on vacation”, but that doesn’t mean he was not available in emergencies. He’s also not the micro-manager, mike-grabber that Trump is.
