If she’s 50; she’s a Genx’er.
THERE’S A SALE AT PENNEY’S!
I’m basking in the economic anxiety.
I think I may have started clapping and shouting bravo if I was in line;
“Great job showing everyone how ugly you are inside!”
“Way to show that you have no home training, self respect or common courtesy for others!”
“Congrats on being part of the failure of society!”
Yeah, it wouldn’t have helped anything, but it’s better than just ignoring such tirades in awkward silence, which only encourages such energy leeches.
The minute someone who is ranting says "I think everybody here probably feels the same damn way I do."
That’s when it becomes the time to say something.
I’m 56 and probably look it, and I use it to my advantage when I do speak up. Wagging an index finger while pointing out wrong/illegal/hateful behavior usually stops the behavior. A good righteously angry glare helps. It probably doesn’t cure it long term, but short-term? I don’t have to listen/watch/put up with their bad behavior.
And luckily, I haven’t been beat up in the parking lot (yet).
Agreed.
When someone that repugnant claims to be speaking on others behalf, is when they’ve gone too far.
If only they made Raid for Racists…
Or at least the bystanders have allowed them to go too far unchallenged. I’d argue that their very existence is gone to far, but I’m in a throw them overboard mood today.
Fair enough.
Large numbers of Kentuckians being blitzed on booze, meth and oxycotin is a bad thing because…?
It looks like she could have used some sort of chemical refreshment to calm her down a bit.
Sorry. I didn’t mean to quibble. It just makes me almost as mad that most people just stand around and do nothing when shit like this goes down, especially my fellow privileged white people for whom speaking out costs them nothing but the tiniest of efforts. Apathy, the real root of all evil.
You can’t cure asshole.
Give the crazy lady booze and meth. Brilliant idea.
But you can neutralize it. You point to the crux of the problem. People who aren’t annoyed enough to confront Crazy Lady.
All good lines. I’d like to think I’d ask, “…and where do you worship?”
I’ve noticed that quality of lifestyle has a lot to do with how quickly most people seem to age biologically. What worries me is that people who eat a mid-western diet and generally disregard taking care of their bodies are going to wind up with a raft of major health problems in old age that will implode our already dysfunctional healthcare industry.
well, yes, of course! if it weren’t for the minorities and Obama stoking the “race war,” they wouldn’t have been forced, forced i say, to vote for Trump!
Mmm, seems a little post hoc-y.
I don’t think there’s so direct an effect between diet and “looks” unless you’re getting into some hardcore nutrition issues where you’ll see the rotten teeth or drug/alcohol abuse tear through the person.
Sure health care is a concern, but how well a person ages? That’s still primarily going to be shaped by genetics.
I won’t claim any expertise one way or the other, but anecdotally the people I’ve known who ate a lot of greasy fast food full of preservatives and little food value, and never got any exercise wound up looking a lot older in their 50s and 60s than people who ate a balanced diet and got some physical activity.
Where’s a Buzz Aldrin knockout punch when you really need one!
I’m pretty sure that racist woman wasn’t speaking English either. What with all the double negatives and stuff.
My gran used to like to drink ‘a nice bottle of Olivetti’, instead of Orvieto. One of the many reasons I loved her.
