How can a CPA lose their license?
- Failure to file a tax return
- Filing a fraudulent tax return on behalf of themselves or a client
- Failure to abide by the U.S. tax codes
- Conviction of a felony or any crime punishable by more than one year in prison
- Gross negligence
- Acts of fraud and dishonesty
- Fraudulently obtaining fees
I’m sure calling the sitting president a rapest, with no proof surely would not be “an act of fraud and dishonesty” no sir, nu uh
By all the evidence that Mejia supplies, and there is a lot, he’s another Russian stooge. Tulsi move over and let Mejia take over.
Generally speaking, while licensing boards do have the power to remove your license for fraud or dishonesty unrelated to the subject of your license, it’s extremely uncommon for that to happen.
The only veterinarian I know (personally) to have had their license revoked had it happen due to a severe drug problem that often manifested while on the job. Not the first or last, but attention drawing enough to generate complaints from the public.
So while this douchenozzle may be making dishonest and libelous statements, I can’t imagine that he’s going to be disciplined by his respective board as they really don’t have anything to do with finance.
Things like this used to not only disqualify you from elected office, they’d earn you a visit from the FBI.
Now, they get you a built-in voter base, a podcast, and a talk show.
Ratfucking ba$tard
I mean, he’s not wrong? One of the many problems with the Biden nom was that we were betting on a racist sex predator to beat a white supremacist racist.
And, as it turned out Biden wound up having a credible sexual assault allegation against him, too, so, yeah, we had the joy of choosing between two old white racist rapists in 2020.
I still voted for the piece of shit, because our democracy was less likely to be completely dismantled under his tenure, but I’m not going to pretend he’s not a thoroughly loathesome person with a history of racist and sexually predatory behavior.
“Everyone’s talking about me, so it means I’m winning!” says every Main Character of Twitter right before they lose their job and delete their account.
On the other hand, most of the Republicans in Congress do nothing but troll all day, so maybe Mejia will be fine.
I’m curious, have other Green Parties in the West contracted whatever prion disease that causes the American party to enable right-wing authoritarians and deny aspects of reality?
“I am correct because just look at the people who are disagreeing with me” is always disingenuous bullshit.
I wouldn’t even dignify it with the term “disingenuous”. It’s childish, not far off from “I know you are but what am I?”
AFAIK generally not. It’s a side effect of the two-party system in the US, where if you are serious about achieving anything in politics, and able and willing to cooperate with others, you work through either the Democrats or the Republicans to achieve your goals. The US Green Party (and other similar & mostly irrelevant third parties) is for the people who aren’t serious, are terminally incapable of working with others, or both.
It’s a whole different situation in countries with better electoral systems.
I guess one could compare President Biden’s policies and President Trump’s to see how they effected marginalized people if they wanted to prove they’re the same.
But that would require more than just asking questions.
That makes sense. The American duopoly system we’re stuck with sucks in so many ways.
“Both sides” nihilism is a vote for more of same.
In Canada, we have a primarily two party system, but there is a third, very left leaning party that will often hold the balance of power if one of the two major parties fails to get enough votes to form a majority government. They can form a coalition government with one of the two major parties. Such governments don’t usually last very long, because the aims of the two parties holding power will almost always diverge, but where they converge, they can enact some powerful legislation. This is a simplification, of course.
