Itโs not that they were friends that surprises me, itโs the way Lindsey Graham has to loudly mention it every time he pulls out a knife. The guy just wonโt take the hint that the relationship is over.
So this ad calls out the supposed hypocrisy of a Jewish guy carrying around a Bible? What does this so-called Christian think the โOld Testamentโ is anyway?
Besides the staggering Bible ignorance, it didnโt take long for that โJudeo-Christian valuesโ facade to crumble, did it?

Fact check: Viral video purporting to show vaccinated womanโs plane tantrum is fake
The two-minute explainer video at the linked article is good, and it contains clips from the faked video. Wish I knew how to embed it here.
Sounds like Prince Ea needs to be kicked off several social media platforms. Heโs a propagandist.
Remember when Kanye West was running for president he talked about his pro life stance that he thought that expectant mothers should be given a ton of cash to help raise those kids? Well it seems that some pro life Texans are starting to feel the same but I have the feeling that the rest of them will call those people socialists for wanting to address that issue

Tere Haring worked the math. Already, the antiabortion nonprofit she runs had given away a record number of baby items during the pandemic. Sheโd helped five women a day in 2020, and sheโd handed out 71 car seats, 45,569 diapers, and $71,000 in rent assistance. Then, in September, a state law banning abortions after six weeks went into effect. By late October, Haring was seeing seven or eight clients a day. The phone rang, then rang again.
That uptick was just the beginning, Haring figured. The number of abortions had fallen by half during the banโs first month, from 5,377 statewide in August to 2,164 in September. For most antiabortion activists, that drop was a victory, proof that the restriction had saved more than 3,000 babies.
But stopping women from having abortions was the easy part, Haring often told people. What came next would be much harder. Those 3,000 babies were going to need diapers and formula and any number of more expensive items, too. The women Haring called โabortion-mindedโ tended to be in untenable situations. Many couldnโt afford a playpen, let alone a monthโs rent.
โI always said abortion is the lack of an option,โ Haring said. โThey feel like they have nowhere to go, that thereโs nobody for them. Itโs about the help. Itโs about being there for them.โ
Haring believed it was her Catholic duty to help women who didnโt get abortions. The only problem was: Her coffers had dwindled as the need had risen. Donors who used to send $5,000 to Allied Womenโs Center cut their gifts back to $2,500 during the pandemic. Others stopped mailing checks altogether.
This doesnโt surprise me. The Catholic pro-life stance at least tends to be consistent and good works are baked into the program. Itโs the White Evangelical prosperity doctrine type who donโt want to help women and who want to execute as many Black men who end up in jail as possible.
Sheโs still wrong, tho. But at least sheโs putting her money where her mouth is and trying to do what she thinks is helping these women. I prefer she keep her nose out of their medical businessโฆ
This. I had to clap back at a neighbor (Catholic) who thinks that the Democrats are being unreasonable by making abortion rights part of their platform. I really like him, but I told him that I refuse to discuss something with someone who has zero skin in the game.
I would argue that where she is wrong is in wanting her religious views to be the law of the land for everyone.
She is not wrong in that many women choose abortion because they canโt afford to raise the child. In fact, a significant percentage of babies given up for adoption these days are relinquished by married women who already have children. Financial help โ socialism! โ really would mean that at least some women would happily choose to continue their pregnancies.
Thatโs the thing that gets meโฆ if these people really cared about reducing abortions, what they would do is make sure everyone has access to health care, comprehensive sex ed, birth control, and whatever they need to the right decisions for them and their families (jobs that pay living wages, schools from Pre-K, social welfare that works, etc)โฆ
I know that some aspects of the adoption industry (like those dealing with foreign adoptions, and those run by religious agencies) can be deeply problematicโฆ almost to the point of trafficking children from poorer people to wealthier white Christians. So, itโs the other side of their โbuilding an army for Christโ bullshit.
Take all the money (including public money!) spent on fake clinics and give it to people with programs like hers.
Fake clinics outnumber abortion clinics in Texas by a 10-to-1 margin, with more than 50 fake clinics getting state funding through the Alternatives to Abortion program, created by the Republican-held state legislature. State documents reviewed by Rewire.News revealed taxpayer-funded fake clinics have no measurable goals or oversight.
Orโฆ this is kind of radical, so hear me outโฆ we tax the rich and use it to fund universal healthcare and paid family leaveโฆ Itโs out there I know!
Itโs not out there, itโs over here. (We have to work harder on taxing our rich. Too many caravans of โlibertarianโ have crossed the border.)
Sorry! So us, then, should do that! You got that shit sorted!
Could it be said they were โcrisis actors?โ
