I’m sure they think they sound pretty smart…
Not like they’re going to get anything useful done anyways… other than obstructing and destroying shit.
Indeed!

[prays silently no Texans get inspired to open up a copycat restaurant here because that is exactly the kind of thing that would appeal to my neighbors, guaranteed]
Correct!
And thank you for saying this. I need to remind myself.
Ooh! Someone in the press might ask if he thinks those people are too young to vote, does he also consider them to be too young to work, move out of their parents’ homes, sign for loans (or any other legal document), get married, have consensual sex, etc…
Of course, waiting for the MSM to demand answers from members of the GOP tends to go more like this:
…or enlist?
“For some stations, particularly smaller stations, a percentage of their operating budget that comes from the federal is significant. So for them, if that funding were to significantly significantly decline or even disappear, it would be an existential crisis. And so you know, legislators do pay attention to what happens in their own districts. And so a lot of the conversations are happening at that level. There are a number of new members of Congress in this in this freshman class coming in, and so making sure that they’re aware of the work that is underway within their stations as is a is a big priority.”
Funding is already set for this year, but discussions could become complicated for future years, she added. “I would hope that as people look at where dollars are spent, the federal Corporation for Public Broadcasting amounts to about $1.40 per person per year. It’s a really small amount of money that has such a tremendous impact in communities. We saw that during COVID… I think, as we’ve as you can see from the range of programs that we have here, we’re really very focused on a content that we hope is entertaining, engaging, but also impactful. And I think the more that we can really lean on our stations to make that case.”

That’s something that should concern all of us, not just those of us who live in red states or purple states in blue areas… ATL probably exerts more power than Nashville does in TN, just because it’s a larger part of the state (with the metro area, which is increasingly blue and holds more than half of the state’s population, economic power, etc). But there are very real tensions between ATL and the rest of GA and the political forces of both. We saw some of that in the pandemic, with Kemp fighting with Mayor Bottoms about restrictions.
How about being forced to register for the draft?
i.e. they’re trying to convince their own elderly supporters to start eating catfood to prevent starving
Oh for fuck’s sake. Seditionists in charge. What the hell could go wrong??
Why do I have the feeling he keeps asking the Fox News prop department for a tiny cross to burn on his desk
They would give it to him if it weren’t a fire hazard, too.
