I was born and raised in Kansas, and I’d never heard of Marion County. According to Wikipedia, the county prohibited the sale of alcohol until…2004.

My wife’s grandma lived in a completely dry town in eastern Tennessee, and it still is to this day. Prohibition still exists.

A prison guard who was 7-months pregnant and had severe pains was forced to stay at her post for 2.5 hours before she could take herself to the hospital. “You just want to go home” said her supervisor. The baby was delivered stillborn that night.
Texas claims that they don’t have to compensate her because this happened pre-Dobbs and fetuses didn’t have any rights until after Dobbs.
