It’s already shifted pretty far to the right and I’m not sure it can shift further without a full on fascist take over.
I mean, we all agree with that, but at this point, the GOP might be completely broken with no way to save it for the moderates. I think the window will have to shift back with them just going away (after a round of arrests and prosecutions) and a new party emerging out of the wreckage (think the Whigs and Republicans). I don’t think the GOP can be salvaged at this point.

Follow-up on the Scott Perry cell phone thing.
This is apparently a completely distinct Trump-related legal scandal to the legal scandal which prompted the FBI to act on a search warrant or the legal scandal that caused Trump to plead the 5th in court today. That’s a whole lot of legal problems in one day, especially for a guy who was already scraping the bottom of the barrel to find lawyers who were still willing to represent him.

the current case takes the books to court, using an obscure Virginia law that would allow the judge, if she found the books obscene, to ban bookstores, libraries, and even private citizens from selling or sharing them, everywhere in Virginia.

It happened before the Dobbs decision, and the laws that were broken were passed under Roe v. Wade. So no, it is not.
Do take that Pee Wee Herman nitpicking, gaslighting bullshit someplace else. The arrest happened years later, post Dobbs, so it is absolutely “related.”
