The other way people talk about filling in the lost revenue from gas taxes (in order to maintain roads) is a mileage tax. That could be applied equally regardless of the type of vehicle. But ends up with a lump sum that really hurts lower income people.
Unless they find a way to collect monthly or something?

She was charged in with injury to personal property after she removed yellow tape covering up playground equipment during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic.
So, if I understand correctly, drag shows for adults are harmful to children, but deadly pandemics are not. Mmmkay.
(Remembering of course this was way at the beginning when we had little idea of how COVID 19 even spread.)
