Look, it’s obvious to everyone that I’m a Nazi, but it’s those California libs who are the real Nazis!

“They came to the polls that day and blew the numbers out of the water. They were winning their state, they were turning their state in the right direction until they hit that blue area called Atlanta, Georgia,” he lamented. “Good try, all you great citizens of Georgia.”

“Your voice doesn’t matter because you don’t have the majority of the population," he said

“Billionaire Ken Griffin has sued the IRS and the Treasury Department over the “unlawful disclosure” of his tax information”

i don’t know if tax privacy is a good idea for billionaires anyway. or actually, since billionaires themselves are a bad idea, maybe i’d be fine with his taxes being private if his income and capital gains bracket could be adjusted up to 80% or so

“Carlson said Wednesday that the only way for the state of California to decide who qualifies for financial reparations… [something something nazis]”

wrapping a lie inside a bigger lie. that’s a good technique on his part.

the nazi bit is a distraction i think from the fact reparations aren’t really about giving money to particular individuals. it’s about providing funding to communities which are currently disadvantaged due to historical and ongoing structural racism

( even climate money to nations bearing the brunt of our emissions could fit the idea of reparations )

Just weeks after the November election, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, a Republican, and Republican representative Brian Stewart rolled out a resolution that would require all future constitutional amendments to receive a 60% supermajority at the polls, rather than the current 50%.
“This is about trying to make the Ohio constitution less susceptible to special interests,” LaRose said.

like the majority of voters…

“We need to find a way to quiet down these damned voters! They are not agreeing to what we tell them to agree to!”

And not because violence is wrong, but because, and this is them telling on themselves, because they think it would be politically valuable for trans people and their allies for a trans person to be brutally murdered.

I just can’t even.

And the replies show just how futile it is to discuss or debate trans rights with violent bigots. We don’t just disagree about human rights, we don’t even live in the same reality.

I can’t convince someone it’s wrong to commit violence against someone else for who they are when they live in a fantasy realm where trans people commit violence against random neckbeards. Where trans folks and their allies are cackling, evil supervillians with the power and inclination to subjugate and crush…checks notes…a self-styled libertarian in Las Vegas!?!

Funny how they think that trans people don’t already face “ultra violence”.

And that we’ll just let them get away with trying.

Around here, people’s taxes and therefore their income are public knowledge. I just last week read an article in the newspaper listing the best earners in the city for this year. It’s actually quite interesting. They had a separate list for young people and of the 20 or so on there, every single one had generational wealth, i.e. their income came from a business their parents started. The only exception was a crypto bro, who had gotten lucky as an early adopter after having heard about bitcoin at online poker games.

that doesn’t mean it isn’t valid to question who they ban and why.

also, corporations aren’t people. they act under a legal construction provided by government, and they do not have intrinsic rights. we are allowed to regulate their speech - and their handling of other people’s speech - even if currently we do not

“Moran sought to draw a contrast between the Trump administration’s positions on LGBTQ issues and the treatment of his group this summer by GOP officials in Texas, writing in a USA Today op-ed that the former president is “a leader of LGBT inclusion.”

Follow up. These people are delusional AND evil.
