Yeah, and never trust anything on wikipedia related to medicine and health.
They need something like this, but how can they prevent it from being abused? It’s like any other kind of public review service on the internet, or *cough* flagging system on forums such as this. People are going to abuse it to silence views they don’t like, even if they are factual.
Antivaxxers are going to flag the pro vaxxer tweets faster than you can say ‘measles’.
Never trust anything on the internet or that you hear from your friends and your coworkers related to medicine and health. Listen to your science-based accredited doctor and nobody else.
The signal-to-noise ratio on health news is absolutely terrible, to the point where you are more informed by consciously ignoring all of it. Seriously. Everything you’ve heard is probably wrong. Vitamins? You shouldn’t take them except via your food. Carbs? Not bad for you. Antioxidants? Not the thing you think they are. Vitamin C has nothing to do with colds or your immune system. Chiropractors are charlatans. Acupuncture (as we know it) is not an ancient tradition- it was manufactured in recent history to promote unity within China. The list goes on and on and on and on.
Sorry, this is off topic. I’ll get off my soapbox now.
