There are sounds that I can’t tolerate, sounds that will send me right out of a shop, or to a room where they can’t reach me. Certain bendy/twangy sounds top the list, and they are far too often used in country music. I’ve tried to get myself over it, but gave up after 45+ years. That’s plenty of time to give an experiment.
That said, I saw a performance by a slide guitar/theremin duo who made me very happy indeed.
