Louis C.K. film premiere abruptly canceled as NYT story expected to break. Women have accused him of sexual assault

Most definitely.

If Francis Urquhart feels that way then I’m with him.

So have the rumors that Hillary Clinton ordered a staffer killed when he accidentally discovered that Bill was selling children to Saudi Arabia for organ harvesting.

I’m perfectly willing to change my mind once something substantive is presented. Until then, it’s just rumors.

It is Bob Ross who was the “gentle man from PBS who had a surprising military background.”

There is an awful lot of nope in this thread, but given the subject material this doesn’t surprise me.

All I can say is given the swirl (and genuinely deserved swirl at that) with the recent fire storm of genuine accusations which bring to light the abhorrent behavior of people such as Weinstein, Spacey, Besh, Halperin, and unfortunately many more to come I am sure…I am fearful of the scuttlebutt/rumor that may ruin someone’s life or career that perhaps didn’t deserve it.

Exactly this.

I’m going to be very charitable and assume you sincerely missed my point. That the rumors have existed for years demonstrates that they are not why Louis C.K.'s business partners are distancing themselves and why people are raising their attention for the other shoe to drop. The NYT story, which is now available, is why.

Hey, thanks, that bit of trivia escaped me.

And there’s certainly been a lot of smoke around this one.

It’s the “usually fire” that adds a little pause to my less informed judgments - in the cases with less smoke anyway.

Every now and again the odd false accusation (and conviction) comes to light and I struggle to imagine anything worse for an accused.
