From the same creator.

If this doesn’t bring a tear to your eyes, you are a monster!

Better than the original scene.

Not better than the Ragnarok version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqIwbsxo46U

(Not gonna lie, was underwhelmed the scene in the Mandalorian and felt it was there for people who somehow missed the entire point of RotJ and TLJ and were shitty and loud about that they had somehow been cheated).

Spoiler!

Ditto. I was more disappointed in how poorly the dark troopers fought. Like cheesy 80s action flicks - each baddie waiting their turn to look like fools.

Well as someone who didn’t miss the point of either, I found the scene wonderful. It was nice to see Luke in his prime as a full master kicking ass.

The way those sound cues synch up is insane! Reminds me of how Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon goes so well with The Wizard of Oz

Neat.

I want to believe, but Luke’s performance in this scene just is not credible, especially when he opens up toward the end and reveals an angelic persona. There is a huge gap in the story that needs to be filled. The dark troopers also seemed to under perform. That being said, the uncanny sync with “I Need a Hero” augments the delivery of this concept to an awesome level.

This, this was a thing of true beauty.
I love it.

Indeed, Thor: Ragnarok’s version was the first thing that came to mind! But the one you linked looks like an extended editing compared to the original that was only the final fight scene, and cuts the song short. The longer edit you linked fits the whole song but at the expense of cohesion.

The Mandalorian one fits its full sequence to the song, which is honestly an impressive feat.

I hope Luke brought some bubble tea for Grogu.

Sorry but the disco beat and piano turned me off early. I had just been listening to the much cooler version done by Imogen Heap.https://youtu.be/nnjQZ2mxU1I

Is it just me, or has Firefox become very hit or miss at playing video the last few weeks?

Would be nice if there was a warning that this was Mandelorian. I’ve been waiting on binging after finishing Season 1 and had (until now) managed to avoid spoilers. Thought this was something from the original trilogy.

The song title is “Holding Out for a Hero” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holding_Out_for_a_Hero

Also, on the BB article, the flashdance tag should be replaced with the footloose tag.
