MAGA influencers launch preemptive deepfake defense as rumors of damaging Trump video surface

How does one video damage what is already utterly destroyed?

it suddenly dawns on me the greater danger of ai and deep fake could be not that people will believe the deep fake is real but that the real is deep fake.

Who’s that?

I feel it’s one of those things that “everybody knows” and I don’t.

I’m not sure about film, but in comics the 1986 Man of Steel version of Lex Luthor was partly based on TFG.

i think of Christopher Walken as Max Zorin in View to a Kill (1985).
a James Bond villain that wants to destroy Silicon Valley.
he fits the Musk mold, evil billionaire character in that portrayal.

Back to the Future 2, specifically, where he’s a sleazy casino owner and creep.

And I’m not making this up, the writer specifically said he was based on Trump

Why do I keep get the feeling that EM idolised Karl Stromberg, Hugo Drax and Max Zorin as a child?

That is very much part of the danger of the whole disinformation economy.

To be honest, I’m thinking it will be more like John Stonehouse.

There was a video that was allegedly the pee tape circulating the web around… 2017 or so, I think? I watched it, it was kind of dark, but it looked legit. The person who was said to be Trump had the same bulky frame and stereotypical clothing and Trump’s mannerisms. Two Russian (presumed) prostitutes hovered over a bed and there were light flashes like a reflection of a stream of gurgling water. It never gained traction. The only sort of journalist I saw anywhere covering it just had the message that it was a fake… based upon the fact that, although the hotel room looked EXACTLY like that particular hotel room looks like in real life, the Moscow hotel spokesperson claims that it couldn’t have been because they remodeled at some point. The journalist (now using the term facetiously) said ,“Good enough for me! The Moscow Carlton-Ritz manager has no reason to lie to support Russia’s versions of events. I mean, what would they do? Hurt the business, send them to prison, or posion them? Pfft.”

MAG supporters have accepted, ignored or disbelieve so many terrible things Trump has done that I can’t see a genuine pee tape making any difference.

However it might sway some undecided independents, and hopefully support soft Democrats decision to vote.
