There are already plenty of places that rent guns in California, including firing ranges and game ranges.
But of course that’s not really the issue.
The issue is that you really, really need to believe that guns are somehow less deadly and more unfairly regulated than cars, all evidence to the contrary be damned.
Oh, so you’re not actually here for “just the facts”, you’re here to make arguments on behalf of America’s weirdly common guns. Who would have guessed.
There absolutely should be a lot of mandatory training required for anyone who wants to own any kind of gun (along with a hell of a lot of other requirements) but training is definitely no panacea. A recent study showed that parents who train their kids on “safe” handling of guns are more likely to be people who leave guns around the house loaded and unsecured.
The guy who copy-pasted an article without even reading it through is going to throw shade at whether the rest of us care about our sources? Nice apology there.
I’ll give it a go. The gun deaths of children in those years will be an inexcusably big number. Whether it is bigger or smaller than some other number is not something I give a shit about.
As quoted above, they make it very clear why they excluded children aged one or younger from the stats. Your implication that there’s a hidden agenda on their part is as convincing as the rest of the fallacious arguments you’ve made here, which is to say not at all. You might be able to slip this kind of thing past the esteemed audience at Facebook or Xitter, but you’re wasting your time here.
Of course any research that shows the proliferation of guns in the USA is a bad thing or has resulted in a massive number of gun deaths compared to other countries is biased. /S
Ammosexuals really hate these studies. If they can’t block the research, they’ll grasp at straws in order to discredit them. It’s the same fallacious arguments and stale talking points, straight out the old tobacco industry playbook of lies and BS.
Worse, they’re pointing out guns aren’t actually the number one cause of death for children yet.
“When you focus only on children - 17 and younger - motor vehicle deaths still rank no.1… though the gap is rapidly closing…”
