Still only two choices there. Chemical intoxication doesn’t alter personality, it merely disinhibits the established personality. As for mental health, that’s irrelevant speculation. Total asshole manifesting as misogynistic sexual abuser is the only relevant diagnosis of the perp. He should also be charged with harassing a child, since the survivor’s daughter was forced to witness her mother’s sexual assault.

Airlines could incorporate a brig into their planes. There are many bad people.

Much as he may deserve this sort of treatment, I am not keen. I am not sure it is practical to have a brig in every aircraft. There’s little enough space. And you have to get the person in there, which won’t be easy. And once you have restraint tools, they may be used on people of colour who do not give up their seats. Don’t go there.

No. A person was sexually assaulted. Land immediately and have the assailant removed and arrested.
Anything short of that is not acceptable and potentially negatively affects the case against him.
