That guy’s videos are good, but it always bothers me that he never checks for what’s in the back seat. Groceries, pets, sleeping children…
“with copper wire running underneath the vehicle.”
He’s lucky he wasn’t burglarized.
Back in my day, we just had these:
Along with “NO RADIO” signs.
No communist in my car. No Christians either!
I’ve seen other videos where he works with a spotter who discreetly inspects the car to make sure the VIN number matches and everything is clear before calling in the tow truck. In this particular case I’m guessing they did some surveillance and followed the truck to the car wash.
I always have mixed feelings about those repo videos. On the one hand, it feels really shitty celebrating some working class schmuck losing his primary form of transportation. On the other hand I’m in my late 40s and I’ve still never owned a new car because I’ve never been in a position where that seemed like a financially responsible choice for me, so that tends to temper my sympathy for someone splurging on a detailing job for a brand-new pickup they can’t afford to make payments on.
If Ford has anything to say about it, repo men may soon become obsolete:
Not sure if I was disappointed or relieved that this is not Harrison, MI (which is in Clare County, and therefore not Harrison Township, which is in Macomb County).
I grew up in the area and the odds that either myself or someone in my circle would know a 45 year old local are pretty good. Also it’s extremely on brand for that town as well.
