If he refused to wear a mask, then why was he allowed on the airplane?

IANAL but from what i could find it’s likely considered Assault. He’s also threatening to doxx the passengers, which i don’t think he’d taken seriously for but its possible he could have related charges added (doubtful tho).

The odd thing is the video starts off with him wearing his mask. So I am not sure that mask wearing was in fact the issue.
According to articles I can find (which all seem to be copied nearly verbatim from each other, of course) he refused to take off his mask four times and wouldn’t hang up his cell phone. That’s it. Absolutely no mention of what happened to him after being escorted from the flight, so presumably they gave him a stern finger-wagging and released him to do it all over again in the future.

Agreed, he needs to be charged with “failing to follow instructions of flight crew” or whatever it’s actually called. That carries a hefty fine. I don’t know if they end up on a “no fly” list but they definitely should.
I saw that there was a move by one airline to share “no fly” lists between airlines, haven’t heard anything about it since.
Personally, I’m not stepping on a plane until they require proof of vaccination.
As a sidenote, anyone who is asked to evacuate an aircraft and leave their luggage behind, but grabs their luggage anyway: big fine, put no fly list.

It amazes me that there are people that wake up in the morning and think to themselves, “this is it, this is the day I am going to get myself banned from air travel, lose out on the money I spent for these tickets, and spend the night in jail in lieu of where I am supposed to fly to. Momma’s gonna be so proud!”
