The MTG cut - at least where I lived, and I’m (checks notes) four years older than her - was more of a “new wave” cut (we knew that term was dated even then; it was more of an exonym & preceded “alternative”). The popular look was (only the) bangs sprayed, gelled &/or moussed way up into the atmosphere; a variation on this (maybe a year or 2 later) was the hair pulled back into a ponytail except for the bangs, which were arranged into something like the end of a groomed poodle’s tail. I offer this much detail merely to suggest that MTG comes off as one of the voluminous bangs people, knowing that the ramifications of this upon the success or decline of the United States of America are of the gravest importance.
Ah well at least on our way to annihilation we’ll have some good cogent commentary on the history of American hairstyles… and that’s something innit?
I think I get what you mean. I think you don’t have anything to worry, mentally wise. We have a presidential candidate that never reaches the maturity of 3 and half of a party with median mental age of 5. You’re still good to go.
What are you even trying to say with that? Jasmine Crockett and Marjorie Taylor Greene are both Gen X, AOC is a millennial
It’s also worth noting that AOC suggests it was a set-up, points out how the side show derailed the normal process, meaning any chances to discuss, much less amend the bill were cut off and the measure simply rammed through.
So as much of a shit show it was, it’s even more disheartening to consider that it was an intentional shit show, the clown princess MTG doing her duty of distraction. We need to work harder to get these criminals out of office.
MTG is actually Gen X.
(edited for clarity)
Who is?
MTG?
Um… I’m guessing that you didn’t read/grok the entire exchange.
I didn’t say anything about MTG’s generation, which is irrelevant a/f.
I pushed back on someone else’s inference that the behavior displayed is childish, by making the ageist statement “Gen Z has entered the chat.” I then used a personal anecdote to make my point.
Nowhere in that part of the discourse did I ever even imply that MGT is part of Gen Z.
OK, so confusion on both sides here.
I thought someone was saying MTG was Gen Z.
Even if someone WAS doing that, it wasn’t @Melizmatic - maybe follow the thread and see if someone DID say that and correct THAT person…
I will be more careful in the future.
Apologies if I touched nerves.
It was entirely unintentional.
Nope.
Crockett has trademarked the phrase for all manner of clothing, and plans to use profits to support Dem candidates. She also trademarked “B6”
