Man I wished that Ray Bradbury had lived to see these pictures.
I find this astounding and uplifting. That I live in a time of such wonders is a great privilege.
It ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids.
Are these pebbles rocks or boulders we are looking at?
Pretty sure mostly rocks-to-boulders: I believe the foreground of the shot is in the low 10’s of feet away, such that foreground rocks are roughly adult fist-sized or so. Larger background stones get up to the small boulder range.
Thanks!
Was just trying to get a sense of scale!
One way or another to seen this is freaking amazing!!!
In fact, it’s cold as hell.
I want to see a poncho-wearing Clint Eastwood riding a Boston Dynamics horse out looking for those bastards that hid the heist money. The horse will not get a credit.
very cool
not really footage - more of a pan across a panoramic still image.
I can’t tell if this is a 360° pan. But if it were, would we not see the Rover’s tire tracks at some point?
Looks bleak–Think I will head to the Amazon instead
It is not a full 360. Its roughly 180 degrees.
You may. Predictably, a faked-up version of the video has already shown up, showing standing water in a crater.
