To paraphrase an FB commenter after the indictment: I’m not saying that hip hop causes crime, but 100% of the people who purchased the last Wu Tang album are in jail.
That really goes with out saying. In fact, you saying it makes me think you’re one of the Greys trying to plant seeds of doubt via this obvious ruse.
I can’t decide whether to like this comment for its cleverness, or to be mildly irate that even with a dickhead douchebro like Shkreli, people still find a way to blame their bad behavior on Black folks…
Even in jest, it’s kinda tedious…

Asking for a friend
Vastly larger, given that everyone else in the world (outside of the US) uses the metric system.
SO at least “fucking gobs” Right…I knew it
most fucks you see on the highway are half-ton fucks. Those carry about one shitload.
Yeah, there seems to be a normalized American trope, safe for TV, where Americans relish the idea that criminals go to jail to get systemically raped. I never understand how it can be seen as a good thing that certain criminals get tortured, certain torturing criminals get “rewarded”, in this way.
Louis Theroux did a great documentary on Florida jails, where poor people who are accused of a crime go because they cannot afford bail. They can stay there for years awaiting trial, at all times in a state of constant vigilance.
When I was in college, in the 1990s, a friend of mine was dragged into court over some trumped up protest related crimes. Before the main event, so to speak, there were a lot of poor people being sent to jail “in lieu of” fines. Ohio valued jail at so many dollars per day. It struck me as very low–perhaps even as low as five dollars per diem.
