Maybe it’s all part of a bigger plan. After Joe Arpaio and Scooter Libby, wouldn’t it be just as crazy if Trump, hearing of Shkreli’s distress, decided that he should get a pardon? Maybe pardoning Shkreli would finally piss off a decent chunk of his remaining supporters, or at least whatever rich people who had interest in taking Shkreli down in the first place. Or maybe that would be too nuts.
