Some people have. Many others haven’t really progressed at all; they’ve just been keeping their nastiness under wraps–or at least it used to seem that way to me, since that hatred isn’t usually aimed at people like me (cis, het, white, middle class).
I think we are making some progress, slowly. But a lot of people are suffering for it.
