Michael Cohen sent back to jail after being seen dining in Manhattan while on house arrest

Apparently he was furloughed from prison when that happened, which did allow him to go out to eat. From what I understand, that time doesn’t count toward serving his sentence which is probably why he was in the process of changing his status to home confinement, which does count. Michael Cohen, Trump's ex-lawyer, ordered back to jail

Sooo, within 24 hours, Trump’s DOJ sends Michael Cohen (the rat) back to prison, and Trump commutes the sentence of Stone, who refused to talk.

Imagine two similar things happening under a Democratic administration in such close proximity. Imagine Lindsey Graham’s frothing Foghorn Leghorn outrage. Imagine the years–YEARS–of hearings congressional Republicans would hold.

However much Cohen deserves to be in prison (which is a lot), the president is operating like a mob boss.

What’s stupid about preferring prison over submitting to abusive bullshit? And if Cohen’s objection was over not being allowed to be interviewed while free, then the way to do that apparently is to go back to prison. They allowed interviews while incarcerated. Too, he already did some time so certainly had a clue how bad (or maybe not!) another round would be.
The Post likes to think that it was dining after curfew that did it. But it’s a Murdoch-owned turd that ran a photo on page 1. But I don’t the timing works. The underlying idea and paperwork had to start earlier than the dinner.
