This is why I don’t think “protest vote” over Biden’s handling of the Israel/Palestine conflict is going to translate to large numbers of Arab Americans abandoning the Democratic party for the Republicans in the general election.
No matter how disappointing the Democrats are, their inaction can’t hold a candle to the outright racist hostility of the GOP.

Inaction is a pretty whitewashed version to describe what’s been happening there, as if all the vetoes and military funding are just water for fish. I want the fascists to lose this election as much as anyone, honest, but that doesn’t mean I should be happy about there supposedly being no answer for enabling genocide.

For sure. Inaction in the face of evil is nothing to celebrate or condone. It’s just a step up from actively committing evil. And you’re right, “inaction” is still too mild to describe what the Biden administration has done. Maybe “less evil that what the Republicans want to do” would be more accurate.

Exactly! Discussion about making English the official language (as well as discussion to stick it to the Brits and make German the official language) we discussed contemporaneously to the founding and rejected.
