I really can’t imagine Trump hanging around to shake Biden’s hand as he comes in. It’s just as well, really - they’re going to have to seriously disinfect the place before the Biden team can move in.

That will last for about 5 minutes. Biden almost certainly still has extensive connections in the intelligence world, he’ll be up to speed with or without a normal transition process.
I understand the fears, but Biden, Harris, and the Democratic Party aren’t noobs. And the establishment (for better or worse) has been around a lot longer than Trump & Co.'s fascist dreams.
Edit: Had the margin been very narrow, or Trump & Co. won the election with a valid vote, I would be more concerned. But from what I saw last week, they don’t have the inertia to spin this into a hostile takeover. There were times I think they were closer to succeeding in that, but the events and revelations of this year have made them all persona non grata outside of their core, cultish (and loud) social media following. Republican voters still pulled the red handle, but I don’t think a majority of them were these militant, foaming-at-the-mouth believers.

Except it all seems bluster at this point, given that no court has taken any of their claims remotely seriously. They’ll win if we roll over and accept their coup attempt. We don’t have to do that.

The problem is: Biden needs to know certain things now because he needs to pick members of his team to address specific issues. That takes a certain amount of time, and he can’t even start before he knows specifically what those issues are. There’s also a team involved that’s going to start working now and needs office space, has transportation costs, needs security clearances, etc. - there’s millions of dollars that won’t get released to pay for those things until the transition process officially begins. If Trump never allows a transition, if he simply leaves the White House on January 20th, Biden’s team is at an unprecedented disadvantage.

Trump golfing for 2 days was an avoidance reaction. He’s a painfully broken narcissist… his ego literally cannot deal with the reality of a loss like this. The “Four Seasons” affair was a logistical failure, nothing more. These are people who never had it together, who only ever knew how to operate in a world of real estate, organized crime, and fraud. They don’t have anything sewn-up, I assure you. I didn’t think it would happen, but the wheels finally fell off their confidence scheme.

Apart from it’s clear propaganda value, this is about undermining democracy and setting up a world stage for dictators and despots to rule and create havoc at will without repercussions from the US or any other democratic society.
