A musician dies, so he goes to heaven (it turns out all musicians go to heaven). The archangel Gabriel meets him at the gates, and shows him in. All around are amazing musicians - Jimi Hendrix is there, Keith Moon is jamming with him, it’s a who’s who of people who choked to death on their own vomit. So this newly-dead musician is loving it, but he keeps hearing this awesome awesome muted trumpet playing off in the background. He asks Gabriel about who that musician is, and is led to a far-off corner of heaven, where this little guy is hunched over in a corner, back to everyone, playing on the trumpet brilliantly. The musician asks the arch-angel Gabriel, “Is… is that…” “God?” Gabriel replies. “Yeah, the dude thinks he’s Miles Davis or something.”
That trailer gives me chills. I can’t wait to see the movie.
