Moose are somewhat unique of cervids in that they cannot easily dissipate heat so they require bathing in water in order to cool off. It’s very common to find moose standing in lakes and streams on hot days. Another victim of an increasingly hotter climate.

They also enjoy diving for aquatic plants and can reach serious depths of twenty feet or more.
