Not a mention of motorcycles.
As usual.
Half track mobile home seems a bit of a niche item.
Damnation Alley, gritty cozy reboot.
Slight non-sequitur but I was behind a top of the range BYD today and I went to check prices and a brand new one is cheaper than a year old one online.
I suspect:
Elno is not the only electric seller with too much inventory
And they must be getting rid of even more before another round of tariffs.
But I haven’t been paying attention so please tell me if I’m wrong.
The biggest stretch within the charger area is between Stewart Crossing and Dawson City at 180 km. So distances between chargers are reasonable. Assuming the goal translates to reaching the “Arctic Circle sign”, that is 445 km from Dawson City up the Dempster Highway. That is just below the notch in the map. A Reddit poster gave a range of 402 km at 4 C (254 mi at 40 F). It is a bit warmer up there right now so let’s assume they could go the 445 km. So if they abandon the vehicles they could make it one-way. Or flat-bed them back to Dawson City. Or take a genset. Maybe that is what the red jerry can is for!

There are no public chargers further North.
With all that draggy gear on the roof, mileage will vary.
I hear the potholes and corduroy on the Dempster is brutal this year.
The seasons changed two or three weeks ago up there.
Probably not the original “plan”, such as it was, but I like the way you think.
I’ve been driving in my Indian car
Hear the pound of the wheels
drumming in my brain
My dash is dusty, my plates are expired
Please Mr. Officer, let me explain
I got to make it to a pow wow tonight
I’ll be singing 49 down by the riverside
Looking for a sugar, riding in my Indian car
I am the wolverine!
My car is dented, the radiator steams
One headlight don’t work, the radio can scream
I got a sticker it says “Indian Power”
I stuck it on my bumper, that’s what holds my car together
We’re on a circuit of an Indian dream
We don’t get old, we just get younger
When we’re flying down the highway
Riding in our Indian cars
Anyone close enough to Palmdale, CA can visit Blackbird Park and see an A-12 (made for the CIA; shorter than the SR-71); an SR-71 (for the Air Force); a U-2; and a D-21 reconnaissance drone (the less said about that one, the better). It’s the kind of setup where, if you ask nicely enough, they’d let you get close enough to get some nice wheel well pics. It’s been a while since I was last there. At that time, there were no stanchions around the aircraft, and one could go right up and touch them.
The victims. Tolobek Esenbekov, 20-years-old; Aktilek Baktybekov, 21-years-old.
(Voice of Popeye muttering)
“Uhhh, I dunno, ideer seems a lil’ dinghy”
You don’t see them that often on regular airports.
We saw one drive past the high school last Friday as we were leaving. My son said this abomination looks like a badly rendered Prius, so I said “that’s it, from now on, they are called 8-bit Prius.”
