Disappointed DWS felt the need to play into the celebrities are special narrative. What happened to him was wrong because it’s wrong, not because he’s the son of the greatest.

It is really depressing that Homeland Security becomes the biggest asshole possible once let off the leash. I wonder if all law enforcement is like this. I suspect the answer is yes.

The left tears itself apart and it has to stop. We lost so many elections because of our division.
I’m sure if there was a genuine effort to meet half way, where everybody gives some and takes some, things would improve. Instead we have conservative leaning liberals dictating how things are going to be, berating left wingers for questioning that, then expecting the people who they have just been abusive towards to vote for them. Why do you expect to win elections acting like that?
Its happening in the UK (Corbyn seems to only be a different brand of conservatism to New Labour), it’s happening in the US and it needs to stop. I don’t want to vote for the “Not as Nasty as the Nasty Party” Party. Give me a reason to vote for you, not against your opponent because I can also do that by voting third party.

Just totally OT: this sentence caused my deep aversion to watching any dubbed TV show. They “translated” to “Es ist zu spät für die Pebbles zu wählen” in the German version. I rewound the VCR several times, and when I didn’t understand what the hell that meant, I powered up my 12 mHz AMD x286, connected with my brand new 28k baud Elsa modem to my favourite BBS and downloaded the B5 message board diff.
People were raging.
Oh, the times. The troubles we had.
Especially compared to today…
