I like the Ramones’ version best.

I imagined it more crooning Bona Drag Morrissey than sad Smiths Morrissey

I want a full version now. There are so many covfefes to use for the rest of the lyrics.

I liked the first Smiths one the best. But they’re all good.

I feel like the Clash could do a good version too.

It’s a good fit for the Ramones, but I was reminded more of Hogan’s Heroes.

Are we sure the first one isn’t a b-side Morrissey track from somewhen in the late 80’s

Nailed it. I was going to do some pshoppery to make it say exactly that, but you win the internets. Today…

I find myself reminded a little of “Non je ne regrette rien”, but that’s probably a bit too much of a stretch. Even if it does lend itself to those savory Inception shenanigans.

When I saw that note yesterday my thought was Public Image Limited.

Well now that Morrissey has gone full-on Stephen Miller, I guess it’s appropriate.
[Another example of one of those “can one separate the artist from their art?” problems.]
