Take one on my behalf.
Guess I forgot to list a 4th possibility:
- theyâre idiots!
It happened after the initial offer, so I took it as âhey, you are getting something from a stranger for free, you take what you get, and donât look the proverbial gift horse in the mouthâ sort of shush rather than a âhey, donât stand up for yourself etcâŚâ sort of thing. It would have been different had he mentioned that he was allergic before I tried to ply the potentially deadly reeses on him, but it was the standard âtrick or treatâ -> âOk, hereâs a few candiesâ interaction.
I took it as her trying to keep him from looking like an ingrate. It wasnât a big deal to accommodate his needs, and he ended up doing pretty well on the deal. He was old enough to be a bit embarrassed by the Mom intervention, so he ended up getting a proper handful of lollipops rather than just a couple of pieces of candyâŚ
Real smarties are everywhere except the US, as far as I know.
Apparently Samsung doesnât like the word LYNCHED.
FML
New England Candy Co. Necco Wafers, or is that like saying ATM Machine
Also, they donât get Kinder Eggs, which the rest of the world has figured out how to eat without chokingâŚ
I saw somebody post this image on FB recently (after one of the mass shootings, I presume). I love it.
Sorry, I was in the bathroom and it was too awkward to shout.
I think Iâm mildly allergic to cheddar cheese, but I have forgotten what it does to me exactly. Makes my arms itch? Maybe I should eat a block and remind myself.
For a half an hour? Probably should have turned your outdoor lights off then.
Being allergic to gluten means you can eat delicious things that celiacs wouldnât touch with a ten foot pole.
