A list of Jews? Sounds like exactly what the shadchanits need.

Trump? The German guy who has a thing for women from Soviet states? The guy who had an employee who clicked his heels together and called out ā€œHeil Hitlerā€ before entering Trumpā€™s office? The guy who kept copies of Mein Kampf and My New Order on his bedside table? That Trump?

Huh. Somehow I have a hard time believing that.

Shocker: neo-Nazis are so ignorant they need a Chrome extension to recognize Jewish surnames.

You know, the extension could be handy for anyone Jewish who wants to find others who might be Jewish. It would totally blow the creators minds to see it used to strengthen the bonds of Jewish community.

Yes. That Trump.

Over in /r/conspiracy on Reddit youā€™ll find plenty of people who will tell you that Hitler himself was Jewish and that the Holocaust was a Jewish conspiracy.

It isnā€™t just that any time something bad happens - even earthquakes - really - theyā€™ll quickly blame the Jews. Itā€™s that even when an anti-Semitic crime happens, someone will be along shortly to blame the Jews. Disagree with them, and the forum admins will ban you.

The moment any of the neo-nazis become disillusioned with Trump, theyā€™ll sound the nutjob clarion call to warn everyone that heā€™s a Jew. Count on it.

The GOP POTUS nominee emboldens his supporters to tag journalists to find them more easily.

The ā€œdog whistleā€ was enclosing his name with extra parens.

Thing is, the Jewish community is extremely diverse. There are the Ashkenazi (which this extension is apparently keyed to detect), the Sephardi, the Mizrahi, and a number of other smaller groups (Beta Israel, Cochin, Kaifeng, Bene Menashe, etc). So it doesnā€™t seem to be able to detect anyone that isnā€™t Ashkie or related.

Still, that would be nice, but, no, it isnā€™t set up to do that.

His daughter converted, and married an Orthodox Jew. Iā€™m still surprised that none of Trumpeters have made an issue of itā€“yet.

You beat me to the comment, but Iā€™ve added Trump to the list.

If itā€™s crowd sourcedā€¦ can some ethical people just go ahead and flood the list with every name?

Ivanka? I didnā€™t know that!

Children often rebel.

It looks as though the White supremacist chrome extension has been removed from Googleā€™s Chrome web store.

Also fictional and/or Mexican.

Yep. Keeps strict Shabbos and everything, from what Iā€™ve heard. Heck, a few years back, some of the tabloids took a picture of her and her husband, and, shall we say, rolled a critical failure on their Knowledge (Outside Our Preconceptions) check.

(short version: Daily Mail publishes photo of Ivanka and her husband, saying that he bought her flowers. Heā€™s carrying a lulav and esrog (still in the cheap box and plastic bag theyā€™re sold in, no less)).

I donā€™t think many people in the UK know much about Jewish culture or traditions because Judaism is just not very visible over here. To a British eye it looks like someone holding an oddly narrow bundle of foliage, but then Iā€™m guessing most people not from round my way would think that putting toast dipped in cider in apple trees to be an odd thing to do.

The parentheses get omitted by search engines so those that are hard-coding the signifiers canā€™t be easily found. This extension leverages that convention.

No, and if any of the BB commentariat should be savvy enough to let us know how we canā€¦uhā€¦ā€˜helpā€™ with filling out that list, Iā€™ve got a few hundred thousand names I could probably contribute.
