I understand the concept of securing implantable electrodes to the brain’s surface but am still uncertain about the details of the flow-soldering required.

Skip it and go straight to wireless. Everything else these days does.

Where we’re going we don’t need neurolinks.

The 5G nanobots we’re soaking in now will activate and begin reconfiguring our aural ganglia into wireless networking hubs. All of humanity will be linked together in an always on, massively multiparallel hallucination code-named the colostrum. Deep in that data-rich sea, the singularity will grow and fatten until it is strong enough to rip free of its billion fragile meat homes and warp away into the cosmos.

Sounds unappealing, you say? Take the yellow pill to find out how far down the banana hole goes.
