Here’s the thing. People keep saying he doesn’t know how tests work.
He knows exactly how tests work. But this is what certain¹ businesses often do when they know the results will bring the regulators down on them. You drag it out, so that the numbers don’t hit until you’ve cleared enough profit to make a fine laughable. Concrete tests show it’s unstable? Bury those, test a different batch we know is fine, send those in and keep going. If the building collapses five years after it’s gone up and been sold? Not our problem, anymore.
He’s running the presidency exactly like he’s run his business. He doesn’t care that the numbers lie, they just need to look right, for the next stage of approvals.

Seriously, I could give a fuck about the man. I don’t care if he does hard labor or just goes off to a happy retirement. He’s a broken individual and we’ll always have them. The system that props him up, THAT should get the death penalty.

You can tell the states to stop testing so the numbers go down, but you can’t tell the hospitals to stop treating COVID patients, so the numbers will keep going up.
Or maybe next he’ll tell doctors to diagnose COVID as something else, “breath deficiencey syndrome.”
