The buried lede: September 16th is Independence Day in Mexico. On a Saturday, but folks are traveling on Friday. Which made it a high-capacity day for Mexican tourists crossing the border.

Has anyone pointed out that New Mexico is a US state? Does it matter that it’s blue, and I guess doesn’t count? Assholes all the way down.
