Noel Gallagher is still making music, it’s just that everyone wishes he wasn’t.
It hasn’t yet! LOL
I think I had a weird view of getting older from a very young age.
I remember being young (under age) in bars and clubs and my friends making fun of the “old people” there, because only young people should be in bars and clubs apparently. I just remember thinking “…but you’ll be those people one day… you’ll get old too…” - despite all our goth leanings no one turned out to be a vampire!
Funny, I always thought they were the same person.
OMG I REMEMBER THIS EPISODE!! LOL
Do they do these types of episodes anymore?
Well, one’s talented, and one’s a wanker, so I’m gonna have to disagree.
Hey! C’mon, The Beatles weren’t that bad.
*sigh Read te comments first @miasm, read the comments first.
Im ok with his opinion, I do believe it is more difficult to find edgy and envelope busting musicians these days.
However, what is most shocking about these statements is that they are coming from a guy with very uninteresting music. Just be thankful for your millions and stfu.
HEY hey hey. Don’t send him over here. No thank you.
I think I hear Steven Wilson giggling.
@Missy_Pants and @IronEdithKidd
This is the last holdout left from my '90s attire, mostly huge corduroy jeans and skaterwear. I don’t know if I’ll ever have the heart to let it go.
Yeah, and in my opinion, Oasis’ fame was just dumb luck.
Lighten up, people. It’s comedy. He’s been like this forever. Radiohead is still great. And so is Oasis (first 2 albums anyway)
On Brother Liam, Oasis singer: “He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.” (Q, April 2009)
On Blur: “The thing that gets me is, people will say that [Blur’s] the Beatles and we’re the Stones. The fact of the matter is, we’re the Beatles and the Stones, and they’re the fucking Monkees.” –CMJ, April 1996
Then this happened:
Two words: Frank Zappa.
I’ll take interesting, sober, and amusing over just amusing any day.
ETA: in true stopped clock fashion, he’s right: Thom Yorke is overrated.
I wouldn’t say that it makes me happy but it does make me capable of being happy.
Interestingly, Wikipedia says that Dihydrocodeine is stronger than Tramadol if you inject it but Tramadol is stronger if taken orally. It’s probably just as well that I am a resistive needle-phobic then.
I do still love me some 90’s BritPop, but Oasis was, and still is, boredom with no vocal talent.
You are in that happy zone where both older and younger people take you seriously. Enjoy the brief window.
I get to say things like “Oh,I haven’t owned this [antique item] from new, I bought it at an estate sale,” if someone asks. They never ask.
…Wait do you mean brief? Noooooo
You’ll see.
(Just kidding. Demand to be taken seriously.)
He’s front-man of 'Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds NOT ‘Oasis’. Liam his BROTHER was front-man of ‘Oasis’. While he’s partially correct, he’s also wrong… Love his new stuff though!
