True but the school where he worked did ask him to resign, has issued an apology, and said this about the lawyer’s excuses.

Theodore Caleris, Brooklyn City Schools superintendent, said the district hopes to move forward.

“At this point, and in light of circumstances earlier this week, the Brooklyn City Schools is now focused on ensuring that our students have a positive homecoming experience this coming weekend,” Caleris said. “We continue to work collaboratively with Beachwood City Schools and the CVC for productive and instructive next steps to grow our school communities. We look forward to moving ahead as a result of this unfortunate experience.”

Not the full condemnation I would prefer, but an expected response from a school anticipating being sued by the former coach. The school district didn’t support him, didn’t make excuses, and moved to get rid of him. Based on the coach’s lawyer’s statement, the school told him to resign or be fired.

Came from right next door in western PA. Not surprised by this at all. Someone not too long ago burned a cross in a new neighbor’s yard in my former town because the couple moving in was mixed race. It’s like living inside “Mississippi Burning,” except set in current times instead of the 1950s.
