Hudson may have been the place where restrictive zoning laws were born. Story I heard was that some wealthy businessman attached a bunch of strings to a big donation and/or investment in the town that included burying all the electric lines and zoning it to be a proto-Disneyland recreation of a New England village in Ohio.
Their lake is a whole 50 acres big! They even have a residents-only boathouse on it!
