When Brian Williams, a reporter, got confused about his Iraq War experience, and apologized, he got fired.

When Donald Trump, the president of the F***ing US of A, “got confused” about being booed at an event he didn’t attend for YEARS and wrong about never been booed before, he’s been ignored.

WHY are we going Trumpie so many second chances while giving others none?

I assume that this is one of those mythic history situations where the past that feels true is accounted to be more important than the past that happened.

It’s not so much about a mental condition, it’s about his concept of business, and power.

I worked for someone whom Trump reminds me so much of. He was sharp as a tack, but about 80% of what he said wasn’t true. People who consider themselves powerful simply believe success is dependent on how they create reality.

If they say something they want to sell you is worth twice the going price, then it is. If they say their accounting is right and nothing illegal happened, then things are just so. If they say that the next quarter will make up for this quarter’s losses, they will.

If they can be assertive enough to make it true, then they double their money on the product, they don’t go to jail, and the investors don’t bail. By the time it ends up being obviously not true, everyone has moved on anyway. After doing that for 50 years, you get exactly what you see in Donald Trump.

It’s not like “making up shit” represents sudden new behavior for Mass-Murdering Traitor Trump. Remember how insisted he watched “thousands and thousands of people were cheering” as the World Trade Center collapsed? https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2015/nov/22/donald-trump/fact-checking-trumps-claim-thousands-new-jersey-ch/

Actually, he got suspended, demoted and reassigned to MSNBC. There were some consequences. But while he lied, he didn’t break any laws or protect people who broke laws.
